A hotel room costs the same on the first night as on the thirtieth. Our rates fall in steps: by the week, by the month, then by the quarter. The discount is worked out automatically and shown before you enquire — there's nothing to negotiate.
Then there are the costs that simply vanish: meals eaten at home rather than in restaurants, laundry done on site, and journeys avoided when the apartment is chosen near the place of work.
