What you see exists
Every property is visited and photographed before publication. An apartment submitted by an owner never appears on the site automatically.
Sejourno rents out and manages furnished apartments in Dakar. Not a platform, not a middleman: the apartments you see are the ones we look after, whose keys we hand over, and about which we answer the phone when something goes wrong.
Two trades that hold together. On one side we host travellers: members of the diaspora coming back for a few weeks, executives on assignment, families here for a wedding or for medical care. On the other, we manage apartments for their owners — apartments that would otherwise sit empty, or be left with someone who hasn't the time.
It's the same job seen from both sides: a clean apartment, ready, and someone you can reach. A traveller landing at three in the morning doesn't want an app — they want someone at the door with the keys.
Because it's the most uncomfortable position to be in. Coming home after years away means renting from a distance, unable to view anything, often leaning on a relative who is already stretched. Stories of a deposit paid for an apartment that didn't exist are in every family.
Our answer comes down to three working habits. The photos we publish are of the apartment itself, taken as it is, without retouching or a flattering crop. The price shown is the price paid: the total for the stay is worked out on the site, cleaning included, before you enquire. And a number answers during the stay, not just before you book.

Nights, cleaning, long-stay discount: everything is worked out before you enquire. No platform commission appears at the end.
Reply within 2 hours, seven days a week. During the stay too, not just before you book.
The teams who clean, hand over the keys and deal with the unexpected work in the city — not in a call centre somewhere else.

A person checks actual availability and replies, usually within two hours. You receive a written summary with the exact amount and the deposit to pay.
We can meet you at the airport, at the time your flight actually lands. The keys are handed over on site, along with a tour of the place and the numbers you'll need.
A number that answers throughout your stay, cleaning taken care of, and the house address book: delivery people, restaurants, a taxi you can trust, a hairdresser, a mechanic.
Write to us. We'd rather have a five-minute conversation than a booking that disappoints.
