Booking and cancellation terms

These terms apply to every booking made on the site. The arrangements specific to each apartment — deposit required, check-in and check-out times, cancellation window — are stated on its page and take precedence over the general rules below.

1. Request and confirmation

A request sent from the site is not a booking. It is reviewed and then confirmed in writing, with the exact cost of the stay and the deposit to be paid. The booking becomes firm once that deposit is received.

2. Price and payment

Prices are given in CFA francs. The total covers the nights, the end-of-stay cleaning and any long-stay discount. The balance is paid no later than the day you move in, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Methods accepted: Wave, Orange Money, bank card, transfer and cash. Any fees charged by the payment provider are borne by whoever incurs them.

3. Cancellation and changes

The free-cancellation window is specific to each apartment and is shown on its page. After it, the deposit is retained. A request to move the dates is considered free of charge, subject to availability.

If the booked apartment becomes unavailable for a reason attributable to us, we offer an equivalent property or refund everything paid in full.

4. Check-in and check-out

Times are shown on the apartment’s page. Night-time arrivals are possible at no extra cost when announced in advance: please give us your flight number.

Identification is shown when the keys are handed over, as required by accommodation regulations.

5. Occupancy

The number of occupants may not exceed the stated capacity. The apartment is a home: it may not host a party, an event or any commercial activity without prior written agreement.

The guest is responsible for damage observed during their stay. Normal wear and tear is never charged.

6. Security deposit

A security deposit may be required for long stays. Its amount is stated before booking and it is returned after the check-out inventory, less any damage observed and evidenced.

7. Service interruptions

Power or water cuts caused by the public networks cannot give rise to a refund. Any fault belonging to the apartment itself, however, is dealt with as quickly as possible, and alternative accommodation is offered if it makes the property uninhabitable.

8. Complaints

Any complaint must reach us during the stay, so that we can put it right. A problem reported after departure can no longer be verified or corrected.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Senegalese law. Failing an amicable settlement, the courts of Dakar have jurisdiction.
